CDROMINF.ZIP CDROMINF Version 0.9a. CDROMINF is a
program I wrote to test the functions in
MSCDEX, ASPI and in DPMI. The program
tests for the existance of these drivers
and then makes calls into them and
prints the results. The UPC test was
put in with ASPI because I couldn't get
the drivers that are on my machine to
work reliably under MSCDEX. In theory,
the UPC test should work on any machine
running an ASPI driver and not just with
the Toshiba 3401.
DA2WAV1G.ZIP CDDA Version 1.0g - This is the fourth
public release of CDDA. Release 1.0g may
very well be the last update of CDDA. I
needed to get some audio samples into
digital form on my PC. The Toshiba 3401
CDROM drive allowes reading of DA frames
across the SCSI bus. Because there were
no programs available to do this, I had
to write my own. I used it to get the
samples. The first release fully
supported the Toshiba 3401 CD-ROM drive.

CopyQM is a diskette duplicating program
that, since its introduction in 1987,
has set the standard for PC duplication
software. This program is by far
Sydex's most popular, though we do offer

diskette duplication and conversion.

CopyQM reads a master diskette and
formats, writes and verifies duplicates
of the master diskette. Copying can be
performed on up to six drives in a
single session; copies are written on
only one drive at a time. "No Hands"

GIBBER25.ZIP Gibber V2.5 for DOS. Gibber is a
text-processing utility which takes text
from the standard input and generates
output which is 'altered' in a
particular way. It requires a dictionary
produced by the 'makedict' utility
(included with gibber), which takes a
list of words on separate lines in a
text file, and generates a file with the
suffix '.gib' to be used by gibber. (A
sample dictionary is included, called
words - this needs to be run through

search on date, time, attribute, size.
